Abstract
An ultrasonic method has been proposed for the determination of the elastic constants of orthotropic geomaterials with a laser source of ultrasound and wide-band registration of acoustic pulse. Longitudinal and transversal waves velocities have been measured and coefficients of schist stiffness matrix have been calculated.
