The Republican Academic Scientific, Research and Design Institute for Mining Geology, Geomechanics, Geophysics and Mine Surveying (RANIMI) has been publishing the Journal since October 2007. At that time, it was entitled Transactions of UkrNDMI NAN Ukraine. In 2016 the Collection was re-registered with the Ministry of Information of the Donetsk People's Republic under the title Transactions of RANIMI. In 2024, Transactions of RANIMI was registered with the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Extract from the Register Series PI No. FS 77-86764 dated 05.02.2024).

Transactions of RANIMI is a specialized scientific journal devoted to the issues of geomechanics, subsurface geophysics and ecology of industrial territories, which is registered with the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media. The Journal is included into the list of the Russian Science Citation Index (License Agreement No. 520-09/216 dated September 28, 2016), and journal is included into the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation.

2.8.3. Applied mining and oil&gas geology, geophysics, mine surveying and subsurface geometry (Engineering sciences);
2.8.6. Geomechanics, Rock Destruction, Mining Aerogasdynamics and Mining Thermophysics (Engineering sciences);
2.8.8 Geotechnology, Mining Machinery (Engineering sciences).
The Editorial Board of the Journal includes prominent specialists, scientists having recognized achievements in the spheres of science represented in the Journal.
The Journal is intended for a wide range of specialists in the sphere of geomechanics and mining.
The latest results of original theoretical and experimental researches, and as well the summaries and review articles on the issues of geomechanics, subsurface geophysics and ecology of industrial territories are published in the Journal.
