Abstract
The article describes procedure for calculating the density of erection of metal-arch supports for workings widespread in the mines of the Donets Basin. Calculation of the predicted loads on the support for parabolic cave roof is given, the dependence of the size of cave roof on the conditions for maintaining the workings is derived, and parameters of the cave roof and the coefficients that affect the load on the support are determined.
