Abstract
In our paper we present analysis of the nature of wave trains generated when seismic waves are being excited in enclosing rocks. Analytical ratios of wave field in coal seam are obtained. It is shown that in predicted experiments in conditions of the Donets Coal Basin excitation of wave fields with an energy source located in enclosing rocks in close vicinity to the seam is not only practicable but also efficient. Direct waves refracted in coal seam serve as informative wave trains instead of out of plane waves.
