Abstract
The article is devoted to the identification of the relations of the gas content with the tectonic structure features of the mine field. The variability of the gas content of coal seams has been traced both by sections and by area. It is established that the maximum variability of the gas content occurs in the zones of disjunctive disorders. The increased gas content of the Kalinovskaya-Vostochnaya mine field is caused by the conditions of difficult degassing of coal-bearing deposits, which are caused by bends of coal seams into folds, the presence of thrust shielding gas outlets, and weakly permeable mudstones in the roof of coal seams.
