Abstract
The procedure is described and the results of measuring magnetic susceptibility for coal feedstock and iron ore dressing tailings of mining-and-processing integrated works JSC "Krivorozhstal" and also for the products of magnetic separation in a laboratory high-gradient wet concentration separator are given. The magnetic susceptibility of the concentrated flotation feed in comparison with the coal feedstock is decreased by a factor of 40. The most effective dressing of iron ore tailings is carried out by separation in two cycles: first in the field of 1,600 Oersted, and then in the field of 120 Oersted, followed by heating to a temperature of (300-500) °C and triple flushing with water.
