Abstract
The article describes geological and mining conditions for generation of rock bursts when developing anthracite seams. The impact of the existing endogenic and exogenous fracturing of coal in the working area was taken into consideration. It is found that at high strength of small-size coal partings which compose and specify the structure of anthracite seams their boundary portion is deformed along the fractures of apparent viscosity. For this reason conditions for generation of rock bursts are not created.
