Abstract
As a result of the joint R&D of geologists of the Public Enterprise “Yuzhukrgeologia” and researchers from the Central Research Laboratory of the Mining and Concentrating Mill “VostokGOK” a brief analysis for selection of the optimal technique for hydrometallurgical processing of rare-earth concentrates of the Azov deposit ores is given. Further ways for improvement of hydrometallurgical process and improvement of economic indicators for producing middlings are connected in a great measure with a more precise definition of rare-earths oxalate precipitation parameters, getting of rich products, sorting rare-earths on yttrium and cerium groups and also with identification of separate rare-earths.Positive trend of saving material inputs for stock processing can be reinforced by capabilities of the flowsheet for flotation-magnetic-gravity preparation of ores of the deposit that allows increasing andstabilizing the content of rare-earths in concentrates at the level of 15-16 %.
