Correlation Relationship of Major Elements in Rocks of the Stratified Basite-Ultrabasite Massifs

Abstract
A case study of rocks occurred in the stratified massifs of basiteultrabasite composition of the age range of 60.5 Ma (Rhum) to 1.1 Ga (Seagull) and 2.44 Ga (Kemi) shows that the number of pairs of major elements associated by significant correlation relations (up to 0.98) is as much as 50 %. For rocks which have numerous and strong correlation relations of major elements a term petrochemical order is proposed that can be used as indirect prospecting indicator for some types of mineralization.
